    Adam has worked in the event industry for more than a decade, and in 2009 he launched specialist event technology business Showplans, which comprises four cutting-edge floor plan technologies. The award-winning floor plan design and cloud based event management software has been used at a number of high-profile shows, including Mobile World Congress, the Farnborough International Airshow and the Ideal Home Show.

    In his role as founder and CEO of Showplans, Adam applied his design skills and unique ability to identify digital trends to develop pioneering technologies that streamline processes and provide solutions to issues experienced across the exhibitions industry.

    As Director of Freeman in EMEA’s Digital Products division, Adam is responsible for overseeing the company’s digital portfolio and driving its overall strategy, ensuring the business is constantly developing innovative new ways to enable the seamless delivery of events for organisers’ and exhibitors’ and memorable experiences for attendees.

    Adam has 20 years experience in business development, this has given him the ability to listen carefully to what clients really want and turn those ideas and concepts into digital solutions.

    Adam takes client briefs and the Pixelhouse design team turn them into creative interactive software solutions for use in events and exhibitions. The Pixelhouse team create award winning digital solutions and being part of DB Systems means they have over 25 years of experience behind them. It also means that they have all of the AV equipment they need to research and develop new interactives to keep their clients ahead of the game.

    DBPixelhouse have been creating VR and AR software for over 7 years for a multitude of clients and budgets, their recent VR games at mobile world congress 2017 for Brightstar created a huge buzz and showed that high quality custom built VR games can be built on a tight timescale without breaking the bank.

    Director Event Tech Lab

    James is the principle consultant at James Morgan Associates, a brands marketing and communications consultancy based in London, United Kingdom. He is also the affiliate chair of the International Special Events Society EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Nigeria, Turkey and United Kingdom), a Senior Lecturer in Events at the University of Westminster and managing director of Event Tech Lab, a virtual marketing and communications accelerator for event technology start-ups.

    His vast event marketing and production experience began in 1989, and he has produced countless events and marketing strategies for new products and brands in the UK and Europe. He is a respected speaker and commentator on event industry issues and trends.

    James has judged industry awards and is passionate about educating the event professionals of the future and takes an avid interest in promoting quality standards and professionalism in the events industry. James has a PhD in cultural regeneration and is a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP).
